BioWorks® CEASE® is a broad-spectrum biological fungicide and bactericide formulated with a patented, naturally occurring strain of Bacillus subtilis (QST 713) that delivers reliable control of both fungal and bacterial plant diseases. Unlike conventional chemical or copper-based products, CEASE provides strong disease suppression without phytotoxicity or harmful residues, making it a safe and effective alternative for growers seeking sustainable disease management. CEASE is highly effective against a wide range of foliar and soilborne pathogens, including Botrytis gray mold, powdery and downy mildews, Alternaria, anthracnose, bacterial leaf spots, and bacterial diseases caused by Pseudomonas, Erwinia, and Xanthomonas. In addition to foliar disease control, CEASE functions as a root biofungicide, helping suppress soilborne pathogens such as Rhizoctonia, Pythium, Fusarium, and Phytophthora. By reducing disease pressure in the root zone, CEASE supports improved germination, healthier root systems, and stronger overall plant growth.
Designed for flexibility, CEASE can be used as a stand-alone treatment, tank-mixed, or rotated with other registered products, including fertilizers, adjuvants, and compatible pesticides. It is OMRI-listed and NOP-approved for organic production, safe for beneficial insects and pollinators, and non-toxic to pets, animals, and people when used as directed. With a 4-hour Restricted Entry Interval (REI) and a 0-day Pre-Harvest Interval (PHI), CEASE allows applications up to and including the day of harvest, offering labor savings and scheduling flexibility.
CEASE is labeled for use on a wide variety of crops, including vegetables, ornamentals, leafy greens, brassicas, cucurbits, root and tuber crops, and strawberries.
