Scanmask® Beneficial Nematodes (Steinernema feltiae)

Scanmask® is our most versatile and widely used beneficial nematode product, recommended for controlling multiple soil-dwelling and foliar pest insects and for preventative pest management programs. It treats the broadest range of pests, making it an excellent choice when pest pressure is uncertain or when multiple insect species are present.

Scanmask Spray is easy to apply using the Nema-Jet sprayer, watering cans, pressure sprayers, or injection systems, allowing for flexible use in gardens, lawns, greenhouses, nurseries, orchards, and agricultural settings. These naturally occurring, insect-parasitizing nematodes actively seek out and infect pests, providing effective, chemical-free control.

Scanmask is effective against a wide range of insects, including but not limited to:

Armyworms, Banana Root Borers, Black Currant Borers, Black Vine Weevils, Cabbage Root Maggots, Carpenterworms, Codling Moth Larvae, Corn Earworms, Corn Rootworms, Crane Fly Larvae, Cucumber Beetles, Cutworms, Dogwood Borers, Fire Ants, Flea Beetles, Flea Larvae, Fungus Gnats, Gypsy Moth Larvae, Iris Borers, Japanese Beetle Grubs, Mole Crickets, Onion Maggots, Pine Weevils, Poplar Clearwing Borers, Peach Tree Borers, Raspberry Crown Borers, Root Knot Nematodes, Shore Flies, Sod Webworms, Strawberry Weevils, Sweet Potato Weevils, Tobacco Budworms, White Grubs, and Wireworms.

Application Instructions

• Mix Scanmask contents with cold water and allow to sit for 15 minutes

• Water the treatment area before and after application

• Remove any screens or filters from sprayers prior to use

• Apply using a coarse spray, agitating periodically to keep nematodes suspended

Storage & Shelf Life

• Shelf life: 1 month

• Storage: Refrigerate at 38°F (3°C) to maintain full potency until the marked expiration date

Safety

Scanmask nematodes are safe for people, plants, pets, and beneficial organisms, including bees, earthworms, and lady beetles. While non-toxic, the inert carrier is not intended for consumption and may cause digestive upset if ingested. Keep out of reach of children.
