Nemasys® L Beneficial Nematodes (Steinernema kraussei)

Nemasys® L contains Steinernema kraussei beneficial nematodes and is a highly effective biological control for black vine weevil larvae, especially in cool-season conditions. Unlike most commercially available nematode species, S. kraussei remains active at soil temperatures as low as 40°F, allowing treatments to coincide precisely with periods when black vine weevil larvae are present and vulnerable in the soil.

Applied as a water-based spray, Nemasys L nematodes move through the soil in search of black vine weevil larvae. Once inside the host, they release symbiotic bacteria that quickly kill the insect. The nematodes then reproduce inside the host and release a new generation of infective juveniles back into the soil, providing ongoing suppression of the pest population without the use of chemical insecticides.
